A Note from Ms. Rached
We are so excited to see families at parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, Nov. 2nd (can you believe that November is around the corner?!) - we will be sharing sign-up sheets via Remind on Friday. This year, parents-teacher conferences will be remote, held over Zoom. We will accommodate requests for in-person meetings if you prefer - please reach out to your childβs teacher about this after the sign-up sheets are sent out.

Boo Bash - October 21
π¦ Boo Bash is almost here! π¦
βBut we canβt hold it without your help!β
Please sign up for a volunteer shift
or commit to bringing a baked good
for our bake sale!
Behold the π± sheer terror π± of the Boo Bash! PS 154βs Annual Halloween tradition is back and ready for all of the monsters, mayhem, and madness.
Spooky Saturday, October 21, 2pm-6pm
(Rain or shine! If the weather doesnβt cooperate weβll move indoors!)
Hereβs how to help us make this a monster success:
β SKIP THE LINE: Preorder tickets and tees in advance until 10/19. Or grab yours at the door!
β PLAN YOUR OUTFIT: Preorder your Boo Bash 2023 glow-in-the-dark T-shirt. (Shirts will be distributed to children in class)
β HELP US HELP YOU: Weβre petrified of being understaffed! Please sign up for a volunteer shift or recruit your local high school kid in need of community service hours.
βHELP HAUNT THE HOUSE: Drop off any Halloween decorations you want to donate on Friday, 10/20, between 3 and 6 p.m. We are especially in need of plastic storage bins to store all of our boo bash supplies. Thanks so much!
βSWEETEN THE DEAL: Lend a helping hand by dropping off homemade or store-bought cupcakes, candy, and cookies (oh, my!) for our Boo Bash bake sale on Saturday, 10/21, in the schoolyard between 12 and 3 p.m. (Please include an ingredient list.) Add your name to the list so we know what you're bringing.
Remember: The funds from Boo Bash help ensure that your little ghouls and goblins continue to benefit from all the amazing PTA-sponsored offerings at 154.
So, join us. Itβll be a scream!
Brooklyn PTA 5k Fun Run - October 28
Join Team 154 for the 5K Fun Run for School in Prospect Park on October 28!
The Fun Run(and walk/scoot/stroll/ride) is an annual tradition - the proceeds benefit Title 1 schools in Brooklyn. Come join our team! Or get more info about the race.
Election Day - November 7
School will be closed on November 7th. Our afterschool program will not have any programming on this day, but many neighborhood afterschool programs have 1-day camps on school holidays that you can sign-up for.
