A Note from Ms. Rached
Hi Families,
Happy March! March is Women’s History month, and the holidays of Ramadan, Holi, Nowruz, Purim, St. Patrick’s Day, and Easter are also celebrated in March. We are all looking forward to Parent-Teacher Conferences Thursday (March 7th). The document with sign-ups for each class was shared through Remind. Please reach out to Tanica if you need help accessing it. We will be sending report cards and Middle-of-Year Academic Screener Parent Reports home on Wednesday.
We are also looking forward to seeing families at our Music and Media Arts Family Shares during the week of March 18-22. The dates and times were shared through Remind and are available on the website.

Upcoming Events
📣 Workshop: Digital Parenting in Elementary School
March 12th, 6-7:30 PM
In response to PS154 family requests, we’re thrilled to announce an upcoming parent/caregiver workshop dedicated to digital safety. Join Sarah Gallagher Trombley, ex-Snapchat Executive, mother and author of "Thoughts from a digital mom" as she shares tips for safely managing technology with elementary age children. Her mission is to help parents navigate the digital world with and for their kids by providing insight, advice and practical tips. Her work and messages cover a wide range of digital topics including how to set up digital house rules, understanding and implementing parenting controls, social media primers for adults, as well as how and when to choose the right devices for your child. Sponsored by the PTA, this event is open to all families. Sarah will join us live in the MMR, and we will also be broadcasting on Zoom.
If you have topics you’d like Sarah to cover, please let us know!
🎉Spirit Day: Pi Day - A Day to Show Your Math Spirit
Thursday, March 14th!
On Thursday, March 14th, we'll be celebrating International Pi Day! Join us in embracing the mathematical constant π (pi) with a day filled with fun activities and a chance to show your spirit. Have your child wear something related to math, science, or π - whether it's a shirt with π printed on it, an outfit in the colors of π (blue & white), or even dressing up as their favorite mathematician or scientist.
Fun fact: Albert Einstein was born on March 14, 1879, and physicist Stephen Hawking was born on March 14, 1942, making Pi Day their shared birthday. Another fun fact: Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) worldwide because the first three digits of π are 3.14.
Let's make this day as unique as the number itself!
