This week, we opened up our 3rd and 5th grade music classes to families. Our students have been working with Kushaiah Hooper of the Brooklyn Music School with a focus on Afro-Latin traditions. Our students are learning stick drumming skills, rhythmic reading, and ensemble playing.
Our incredible partnership with BMS could not happen without the ongoing support of our PTA and community.
This May, we will be scheduling performances by the rest of the grades. In the meantime, enjoy some of the great pics from the day.
