SCHOOL-WIDE REMINDERS

All students/staff/visitors must complete their health screening at home every morning before they arrive in school. Click the link here: Online Health Screening. Paper copies are available at school if needed.

Please complete your Covid-19 Testing Consent Form and return it to the main office. Click the link for more info: Covid-19 Testing Information

All families must complete the Family Income Inquiry Form, which helps schools receive money for their programs regardless of if they qualify for free or reduced lunch. No need to sign up for school breakfast or lunch.

Complete the Emergency Blue Card here. Please return the form to the main office, or email to fancona@ps154.org 


PTA UPDATES

The first PTA Virtual General Meeting of the year is September 22 at 6:30 PM.

We have several seats on the Executive Board that we need to fill. Executive Board roles are a one-year commitment and will be elected at this meeting. These positions are: 

  • Event Chair of Community Building Events and Movie Nights 

  • Chair of Food Coordination for Events 

  • Chair of Auctions and Sponsorships

  • Four (4) Members-at-large spots, reserved for new parents 

In addition, we have additional roles and committees that are not part of the Executive Board but are critical to the school’s operations. Some of these are short term commitments that make a huge impact: 

  • Picture Day Chair 

  • Fifth Grade Committee Chair and Committee Members 

  • “Free Money” Chair

  • Author Visit Coordinator

  • Garden Co-Chair

  • Yearbook Editor

Please reach out to pta_info@ps154.org if you're interested or want more information on how to get involved. We look forward to exciting new contributions from our new PTA President Cara Zwerling, our continuing and new members of the PTA Executive Board and SLT. Please remember that we cannot run our school without volunteers! AFTER SCHOOL 2021/22

A few reminders:

  1. After School officially starts week of 9/20/21.

  2. Enrichment Clubs start week of 10/4/21.

  3. Log in to your account to check your child's confirmed schedule at https://www.ps154.org/afterschool.

  4. Payment is due when you receive your statement.

  5. Parents will not be able to come into the building for After School pickup this school year.

    • Extended Day students have the opportunity to be picked up during the following times: 4:15 PM, 5:00 PM, and 5:45-6:00 PM.  We are not able to prorate any billing when you collect your child prior to the 5:45-6:00 PM window. 

    • Outdoor Play and First session clubs except for Band and VillainoUS are dismissed at 4:30 PM. Dismissal takes place on 11th Avenue at the front school gates.  Please look for your child's club sign on the gate as the designated club pickup spot. 

    • Second session clubs are dismissed at 6:00 PM except for Magic Tricks with Tanya which is dismissed at 5:45 PM.

We appreciate your cooperation as we continue to navigate through these new logistics created by the pandemic.
