5th Grade Graduation

🎓 Day Of info 🎓

Monday, June 24th - 5th Grade Graduation

This celebratory event marks a significant milestone for our 5th graders.

Update For Families: 5th Graders should remain with their family until 9:45AM, when we will gather them and go to the cafeteria to line up.

Preparing for the Big Day:

5th graders, use the morning to look your best and remember to bring your cap, tassel, gown, and stole! All children should get ready at home, then head to New Voices. Families, please ensure that caps with tassels are securely affixed to your child's head (a few pins might do the trick) before they transition to the cafeteria. Gowns and stoles should be on and looking sharp when entering the cafeteria.

Remember, caps, tassels, gowns, and stoles will be provided to each student on gift day, Friday, June 21st. Over the weekend, give those gowns a little TLC by steaming them—hanging them in the bathroom during a hot shower works wonders. Students should arrive between 9:15-9:45 AM. Upon arrival, 5th graders should head to the cafeteria for your exclusive sign-in. Parents, we’ve got this—your stars will be ready to shine!

Please keep this in mind when planning who to bring and try to coordinate with other families if you need an extra seat or two. Tickets will not be provided. All adult attendees must bring identification for sign-in, as per DOE guidelines.

Bringing Younger PS154 Students to Graduation:

Are you considering bringing your younger PS154 student to graduation? We’d love to have them as one of your 5th graders' four guests!

We encourage your child to attend school before graduation and then be signed out early so they are not marked as absent. If you prefer your child to be noted as absent, please follow the normal absent procedures by emailing your child's classroom teacher and Tina (thill@ps154.org)

Plan Your Arrival - Limited Parking Available

Parking near New Voices Middle School for graduation is extremely limited. To keep things stress-free, plan ahead—think about walking over or alternative forms of transportation, such as grabbing a rideshare.

Photo Opportunities:

After the event, there will be two designated photo areas where families can take pictures with their child. Get ready to capture lots of smiles! Use of these areas is optional

Graduation Day Fun Continues:

After the graduation ceremony, families are welcome to take their child for the remaining portion of the school day to continue their special day. There is no need to return to school, as attendance will be noted based on morning sign-in. If families need their child to return to school after the event, that option is available, but we encourage families to continue celebrating this milestone together.
