ASSEMBLIES

Every year, the PTA of PS 154 sponsors assemblies for our whole school. In the past, we've had groups such as Taiko Drumming, Afro Cuban dancing, and improvisational jazz. In the 2017-2018 school year, we welcomed:

- Redhawk Native American Arts Council, a group of Native American artists who danced, sang, and presented about their culture,

- Unusual Creatures, a band that composed and performed songs inspired by the earth's oddest creatures - and did so in conjunction with the 5th grade band,

- Double Dutch jumprope champions,

- and, Story Pirates, a theatre group that performs stories written by kids and will present a special performance based on their new book, Stuck in the Stone Age. You can check out their podcast here.
